Wise Turtle of Sophia Lake, talk about Hate.
And O. Turtle answered: Hate is not the opposite of Love. Love is a force that comes from Consciousness. Hate is an emotion that comes from anger and frustration. Frustrations and anger come from having unrealistic goals, or wants, and a low ability to love and understand other peoples needs, and motivation. Hate is the most destructive emotion. It can turn on the person who is angry and feeling hate, destroying their life. The common therapy used to resolve hate is to forgive the perpetrator. A lot of people wrongly assume that the word forgive is to exonerate the perpetrator for what he/she did, but like love the word hate is confused in English. There are three different definitions: exoneration, forbearance and release. Exoneration means to absolve someone from blame, and is the most common understanding of forgiveness. Forbearance, in the context here, is to make an agreement with yourself that the perpetrator is not worth your time and energy, and forbearance is a refraining from the enforcement of something. In this case refraining from letting the hate and anger effect your life anymore. Release means what was done is done and over, you must just move on. Here are 6 steps to do this: 1. Get mad, feel hurt and grieve.
