There is a very mysterious gap between when our brain/body does something, and when we become aware that our brain/body has done that something!! In fact, as I type these words I am not aware I typed them for half a second after they are typed!!!

A 90 mph baseball goes from the pitch to the batter in 0.4 sec. just with under our unawareness gap. The batter must have the bat in motion before the ball is halfway to him. So the brain alone must know when to swing the bat! There is no awareness until the batter feels the “crack” of the bat hitting the ball.

Think, for just a moment, about when you are driving a car. Are you always aware of shifting the gears? Most people are aware of everything BUT driving, when they are driving. All of this is more proof that what our brain does is separate from our awareness.

What? How is that possible????
